How to delete your Justdial account
Short answer
In the Justdial app: open the side menu → Settings → Support → Profile Deactivation, then submit. The option is named deactivation, not delete, but Justdial’s own privacy policy says this request permanently deletes your data within two business days.
What it keeps: the same policy holds back data needed for legal, compliance or operational reasons or to prevent fraud, and may keep an anonymised copy for analytics. If you also have a business listing, Justdial’s policy handles vendor information separately, so treat the listing as its own request — our listing removal guide covers it.

Do this first
- In the app
Side menu → Settings → Support → Profile Deactivation - Need help? Their privacy team
privacy@justdial.com
The address Justdial’s privacy policy gives for help with data deletion. - Grievance Officer
Mr Amit Parashar — grievanceofficer@justdial.com
Named in Justdial’s privacy policy as Grievance Officer / Nodal Officer, with phone 8888888888 and the address Just Dial Limited, A-39, 40, Sector-16, Noida (UP) 201301.
What Justdial says it keeps
- Legal, compliance and operational records. “Certain data may be retained for legal, compliance, or operational reasons as required by applicable regulations” — Justdial’s privacy policy, in the same paragraph as the deletion steps.
- Fraud and “other legitimate purposes”. The policy reserves data it believes is needed to prevent fraud or future abuse, or that the law requires.
- An anonymised copy. It “may continue to retain your data in anonymised form for analytical and research purposes”.
- A business listing. Vendor information is managed separately, so deleting your user profile is not the same as removing a listing that shows your name or number.
If they ignore you
Ask in writing for erasure under Section 12 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, and send it to the grievance officer named in their own privacy policy. Keep the date — an escalation later rests on when you first asked.
Be aware the Act commences in stages up to May 2027, so a request today asks for voluntary compliance rather than citing a duty already in force. Anyone promising you a guaranteed 90-day deletion is misreading the law.

How do I delete my Justdial account?
In the Justdial app, open the side menu → Settings → Support → Profile Deactivation and submit. Justdial's privacy policy says your data is then permanently deleted within two business days, though some may be kept for legal, compliance or operational reasons.
Is Justdial's Profile Deactivation the same as deleting my account?
Justdial's privacy policy gives Profile Deactivation as its data-deletion route and says your data is permanently deleted within two business days of the request. The same policy lets it keep some data for legal, compliance or operational reasons, and an anonymised copy for analytics.
Who is Justdial's grievance officer?
Justdial's privacy policy names Mr Amit Parashar as Grievance Officer / Nodal Officer, at grievanceofficer@justdial.com, and gives privacy@justdial.com for help with data deletion.
How do I remove my business from Justdial?
A business listing is handled separately from your user profile, so ask for the listing's removal as its own request. Our guide at saaph.in/blog/delete-justdial-listing-india walks through it.
What if Justdial ignores my request?
Section 12 of India's DPDP Act 2023 covers correction and erasure, and Rule 14(3) of the DPDP Rules 2025 caps the response period a fiduciary publishes for grievances. The Act commences in stages up to May 2027, so a request now asks for voluntary compliance and records the date you asked — which is what an escalation later rests on.
Removal routes come from Saaph’s removal registry and each company’s own published pages; what a company does with your data is quoted from its own privacy policy, read on 2026-08-13. Saaph.in is a DPDP consent and request management platform operated by Ronin Works Private Limited — a communication facilitator, not your legal or authorised representative.
