Every guide below is written for one company: the actual steps to close your account, what happens to your data afterwards, and the grievance contact that company publishes. Where a company keeps records it is legally required to keep — tax, KYC, transaction history — the guide says so rather than promising an erasure that cannot happen.

A note on what these guides can and cannot do. The DPDP Act 2023 commences in stages, and its substantive provisions — including the Section 12 right to erasure — commence in May 2027. A request sent today asks a company to act voluntarily, and many do. These pages give you the company's own published process first, because that is what works now.
